The following organizations assist us with the operation of GLOWS, either through supplying volunteers or providing services.
Key Partners
Provides a backup shelter and buses to transport guests to the shelter when we activate GLOWS, along with many administrative tasks and volunteers.
Serves as our main shelter facility, including during the February 2021 ice storm.
Provides supplies, cots, and library signage to notify neighbors when the shelter will open. First responders go out to spread the word, and City leadership coordinates all organizations assisting our friends.
Good Samaritans
Provides snacks, water, and juice, and an indoor pickup location where neighbors can wait until the bus arrives. Also assists with volunteers.
Provides volunteers and support in many ways.
Assists with printing brochures and business cards.
Serves as our shelter when we are unable to use the Salvation Army. We are thankful to be able to use their gym.
Collects gently used clothing, sorts and sizes it, then returns it for distribution to our guests.
